Whats wrong with just answering the call to see who is there? The problem is many of the fruad calls are auto dialers just trying to find a live line. Once someone answers, bam, they got a live one & the calls will never stop.
They sound like incompetent scammers! What is their point? My ringer is off and I wasnt home when this call came in. I check the caller ID log to see if I have any legitimate calls. Most are telemarketer scams. 5 calls today from numbers out of state, one in state and 2 not showing, including this one. Like someone here said once, they can find Bin Laden and Suddam Hussain but they cant find the telemarketers. So much for the do not call lists. They dont work and I think they just aggravated the issue causing more calls OR maybe they are the ones giving out our numbers!
No you didnt you lie. I called them, as I am typing this message, and this is the exact quote I am being given. The number that is contacting you at your cell phone is our Collections Departments contact number. they are calling because your account is over one week over due. Yes, you will recieve a text, that is normally done if you are over a wek over due, and if you have signed up for the text notifications. You will only recieve the text if you have our app currently installed. So anyone on here tell you its a scam are the scam.
