Supposedly I requested a life insurance quote over the internet. Woman was polite, but refused to divulge the url or email source of the request. I told her this was a scam. She replied, "As you wish, sir. Good night. Call came 2011-03-21- 2001.
They called my fax line at 3:56 p.m. on Sept. 11, 2008, and the caller ID said ASPA--presumably the American Society for Public Administration. Fax lines do not respond to voice calls--plus, I never was a public administrator, am not a member of this society--so why are they bugging an elderly retired attorney???
